Amy Bender-Levy joined The Marks Law Firm, L.L.C., in 2014, having previously spent nine
years working for Catholic Charities practicing domestic litigation throughout eleven Missouri counties. Amy focuses her practice on domestic and probate litigation, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody and support matters, orders of protection, adoption proceedings, grandparent rights cases and guardianships of minor and adults. Amy serves as a Guardian ad Litem in those cases in which she is appointed, representing the best interests of the children. Amy is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and has been designated as a Super Lawyer by Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine for the past 5 years. Amy is passionate about helping others through the most difficult of circumstances and treats each client and each case as it is the most important case she is working with and on.
In addition to her dedication to her clients, she is dedicated to the community. Amy serves on the Missouri Bar Board of Governors, representing St. Louis County. She has been actively involved in promoting justice through the Missouri Bar since 2006. Amy is the current Chair of Women’s Philanthropy of Jewish Federation, a member of the Jewish Federation Board of Directors, and serves on the board of Crown Center. Amy is on the Advisory Committee for Girls on the Run St. Louis, having previously served as president.
Amy spent the earlier part of her legal career working at Lathrop and Gage, St. Louis, and at Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, Edwardsville, IL, practicing civil litigation and toxic tort litigation. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa in 1997 and her Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University in 2000
Outside of practicing law, Amy devotes her time to her husband and their three children and dog, is a triathlete, marathon runner, vegan, BeautyCounter consultant, and lover of the outdoors.
