Amy’s Credentials & Bio

Amy Bender-Levy has worked for The Marks Law Firm, L.L.C. since 2014, practicing in the areas of family law and probate law, having previously spent nine years with Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry, providing free legal representation to eleven counties in Missouri in the areas of family law and probate law. Amy also serves as a guardian ad litem as appointed by the Courts. Amy spent the earlier part of her legal career working at Lathrop and Gage, St. Louis and at Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, Edwardsville, IL, practicing civil litigation and toxic tort litigation. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa in 1997 and her Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University in 2000.  Amy lives happily with her husband and three children ages 10, 8 and 4 in Chesterfield.

  • Recipient of the Roy Essen Memorial Award for Outstanding Young Lawyer from the St. Louis County Bar Association, in 2010

For The Community

  • President of Girls on the Run St. Louis, an organization for 3rd to 5th grade girls to train for a 5k race and are taught 20 weekly lessons which inspire the Girls to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem solving skills and make healthy decisions
  • Serves as a head coach and practice partner for Girls on the Run at her local elementary school
  • Board Member of the St. Louis Jewish Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy, 2011-present
  • Jewish Community Relations Committee At-Large Board Member 2014-present
