Children’s Rights
In the Family Law context it might seem strange to thing that Children might have rights of their own since they are, after all, minors and have to do whatever you say, right?
However, when it relates to custody matters, if your child is mature enough, the court will often want to hear from the child. In some situations the court will appoint an attorney to represent the specific interests of your child, called a guardian ad litem. As a parent you must remember that in the eyes of the court, it is the best interests of the child that are the highest priority.
Aside from custody issues, your child may have other legal concerns such as a Name Change, Truancy or Criminal charges, and will need expert guidance to bring these important issues to an acceptable conclusion.
