Some Missouri residents know that dissolving a marriage can be extremely overwhelming. In the process of a divorce, you must make many decisions involving property, debt, alimony and your kids. In a national story, one well-known baseball manager will inevitably face many of these separation-related issues.

In recent news, the wife of Brian Cashman has filed for divorce. Cashman is the general manager for the New York Yankees. According to reports, he has engaged in an extramarital affair. As a result, Cashman’s wife has filed papers in a Connecticut court. She is seeking alimony, division of their property and joint custody of their two children. Cashman’s wife has retained a lawyer who has familiarity with celebrity divorces.

Sources say that the general manager had a yearlong relationship with another woman. This woman told friends about visiting the manager at his Yankee Stadium office, receiving baseball tickets and meeting him in Manhattan. The woman allegedly ended the affair after he did not leave his wife, which he had supposedly promised to do. A friend of the woman explains, “It was more than an affair. It was like she was his girlfriend.”

Reports note that this relationship is not Cashman’s first affair. In 2009, he was linked to and spotted with a Westchester soccer mom.

Within the process of this divorce settlement, Cashman and his wife will have to confront various emotional and financial issues. If you are facing a similar situation in the process of your separation, you may want to speak to a lawyer. An attorney may assist you as you navigate through these complex and exhausting legal matters.
